IAVA Gets in the Ring with the WWE
September 13 2010

IAVA is ready to rumble! IAVA member veterans and their guests attended three of the WWE’s biggest events in Illinois and Ohio, catching all the rage and entertainment from WWE’s top superstars.
For the first time in two years, WWE’s popular Monday Night Raw was broadcast out of the U.S. Bank Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 13, 2010. Featuring WWE Championship Matches between Randy Orton and Sheamus, Lumberjack Match and the Nexus as Lumberjacks, and John Cena and Wade Barett, the evening featured tons of entertaining and excruciating competition between WWE’s top talent. And as if that wasn’t enough, many more of the WWE’s line-up of superstars came out to the event.
On September 19, 2010, the WWE’s biggest celebrities and most recognized personalities came out for the Night of Champions at the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois. Ultimately, Randy Orton came out on top to beat Sheamus, Wade Barett, Edge, and John Cena in the Six-Pack Challenge Elimination Match, making him a six-time world champion. Featuring many of the WWE’s other core superstars, the night was filled with some of the most intense and cutthroat competition seen so far!
And, lastly, for the first time in WWE history, the cameras came to the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois for Friday Night Smackdown on September 21, 2010. With all of the fan favorite WWE Smackdown superstars present, the night also featured the World Heavyweight Championship between the Undertaker and Kane.
IAVA would like to thank the WWE and Ad Council for generously donating these tickets to IAVA member veterans and their guests.
