IAVA at the Coke Zero 400
July 3 2010

IAVA Member Veterans Mike Withers, John Lamie and their guests attended the Coke Zero 400 at the Daytona International Speedway on July 3rd as part of IAVA’s partnership with Miller High Life to “Give Veterans a Piece of the High Life.” Withers and Lamie were given Hot Passes, granting them access to watch the race from the Miller High Life Pit Box, meet drivers like Kurt Busch and Richard Petty, and enjoy a guided tour of the track, garages, and pits for team meet and greets.

“We had the best time of our lives at that race. The Miller High Life staff was wonderful and we were treated like VIP’s. Thanks to Miller High Life and the IAVA for showing us that people actually do care and by stepping up like Miller has for the IAVA, more veterans will get to feel that sense of honor again.

I just have to say this, once you see a pack of cars come around turn 4 going 200MPH and your driver (Kurt) takes the lead right in front of you while you are sitting behind his crew chief, engineer, and his wife, you will be hooked for life! Again, thank you for everything! We had the time of our lives.” - Mike Withers, IAVA Member Veteran

Working with IAVA, Miller High life will donate up to $1 million in cash and experiences, such as baseball and football games, concerts and outdoor adventures to OIF and OEF veterans through IAVA's Rucksack. For every Miller High Life and Miller High Life Light bottle cap returned to stores, Miller High Life will donate 10 cents to help “Give a Veteran a Piece of the High Life.” Through this program, IAVA hopes to provide our membership with an opportunity to experience premium events while connecting with other veterans in their communities.
