On Sunday, January 23, 2011 ten IAVA members in Utah, and their guests, traveled from Salt Lake City to the Sundance Film Festival for the world premiere of Hell and Back Again. The new documentary was the talk of the world famous film festival. It follows USMC Sgt. Nathan Harris from the battlefield in Afghanistan back home to North Carolina where he struggles to recover from his injuries and adjust to life back home.

Salt Lake City vet Anthony Pike, who will join the IAVA staff in February, led the trip up to Park City. After the film, IAVA members joined filmmaker Danfung Dennis for an after-party where they got to mingle with Hollywood types and catch up with their fellow Utah veterans. Cole Deir, Bryan Catherman, Ike Hall and Myron Nuffer were amongst the crowd who enjoyed a truly unique Sundance experience thanks to the film’s producers.
