Hundreds of veterans marched in parades across the country, joined in service projects |

IAVA Member Veterans and Supporters came out to serve, gather, and celebrate their service all over the country this weekend. From the deck of the USS Iowa at the Port of Los Angeles, to the river walk in Chicago to the New York City Veterans Day Parade - IAVA members showed that they are still serving and are a valuable asset to their communities. Some IAVA Member Veterans gathered with the help of IAVA's Meetup page, which allowed local organizers to start a meetup in their own community. Nearly 20 organizers signed up to lead events in places like Memphis, TN and Wichita Falls, KS. Across the country our members showed through service and community gathering that we are the Next Greatest Generation.

IAVA held its Sixth Annual Heroes Gala on November 13, 2012 at Cipriani 42nd in New York City. The event honored the more than two million men and women who have bravely served our country in Iraq and Afghanistan, and coincided with IAVA's extensive Veterans Week activities nationwide. See the speech everyone was talking about - CPL Aaron Mankin's inspirational story was a highlight of the evening.

In just the last year, IAVA has connected hundreds of veterans with employers through innovative career fairs, helped over 10,000 veterans go to college on the New GI Bill, and provided mental health support to over 50,000 veterans—all at no cost to Member Veterans. Programs like these are only made possible through your generous support. Fight for those who fought for us and help us keep these resources and benefits completely free for new veterans and their families. DONATE >>
