IAVA Joins Other Leading VSO's on VA Funding

On January 17th, 2008, the President approved an additional $3.7 billion in funding for the Veterans Administration. IAVA Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff issued the following statement. "IAVA is grateful to President Bush for formally requesting the additional $3.7 billion in VA appropriations that Congress approved," said Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff. "In the past year, we've seen the largest increase in VA funding in 77 years. This comes at a time when a growing number of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans face serious health problems such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.
