IAVA Unites Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans for Event in San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA
- Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the country's first and largest non-partisan, nonprofit organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will host an event for hundreds of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans in the San Diego area on Friday, March 12th at the Red Circle Lounge, 420 E Street, San Diego, CA, from 6 to 9 PM PST.  The event is the culmination of a week of activities and meetings with IAVA member veterans, media, strategic partners and local lawmakers throughout California.  THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PRESS.

"San Diego is home to one of the country's largest military bases and IAVA's largest membership hub.  We are thrilled to be here meeting with veterans and their families and bringing these folks together in their community. Meeting with our members on the ground gives us an opportunity to hear directly from them about the challenges they are facing and the most important issues impacting their community in San Diego. We look forward to taking the voice of our membership back to New York and Washington D.C. and showing veterans nationwide that we've got their back," said IAVA Founder and Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff.
