High Profile Supporters, Veterans of All Generations Gather at IAVA's Third Annual Heroes Gala

NEW YORK - Last night, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation's first and largest nonpartisan, non-profit organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, hosted its Third Annual Heroes Gala at Gotham Hall in New York City. This inspiring event, timed to coincide with Veterans Day, brought together veterans of all generations, distinguished members of the veterans' community and IAVA supporters. More than 350 guests attended the Gala and helped raise more than 450,000 dollars.

NEW YORK - Today, on Veterans Day, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation's first and largest nonpartisan organization for veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, launched an innovative new series of Public Service Announcements (PSAs) as a part of its National Veteran Support Campaign with the Ad Council. 

 


Hundreds of New Veterans, High Profile Supporters Come Together for Veterans Day

WHAT: Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation’s first and largest non-partisan, nonprofit organization representing veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, will host its Annual Veterans Day Celebration to honor the service of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans, following the Veterans Day Parade in New York City.  The theme of this year’s celebration is “We’ve Got Your Back,” the new tagline of IAVA’s Veteran Support Campaign. THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PRESS.

Warrior Champions, Produced by IAVA, Premiers at Austin Film Festival

NEW YORK - Today, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation's first and largest non-partisan, nonprofit organization representing veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, is proud to announce the premiere of "Warrior Champions: From Baghdad to Beijing," at the 2009 Austin Film Festival on Friday, October 23rd. Filmed and produced by Brent and Craig Renaud, in association with IAVA, the United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and the U.S. Paralympics Division, "Warrior Champions" chronicles the inspiring journey of four servicemembers who were severely wounded in Iraq as they recover and compete for a spot on the US Paralympic Team, bound for the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing. IAVA is an Executive Producer of the film.

 


"Week of the Women Warriors": Launch of Groundbreaking Report on Female Troops and Veterans

NEW YORK - Today, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA), the nation's first and largest non-partisan, nonprofit organization representing veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, released its new issue report, "Women Warriors: Supporting She 'Who Has Borne the Battle,'" on the unique service and homecoming challenges facing female troops and veterans.
