MSNBC: IAVA achieves its top legislative priority, advance VA funding

Rachel Maddow highlighted President Obama’s historic signing of the Veterans Health Care Budget Reform and Transparency Act on Thursday, October 22. The critical legislation requires Congress to approve the health care budget for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) at least one year in advance, providing timely, predictable funding for veterans’ health care. Maddow then turns her focus to how this vital piece of legislation was IAVA’s top legislative priority for 2009.
