Variety: Cameron Diaz Gives Back to Veteran Community

June 22

Variety Magazine recently caught up with Cameron Diaz, who hosted a joint CAA IAVA fundraiser in LA to raise awareness of veterans issues in Hollywood.  "It connected our entertainment industry with IAVA" Diaz said.  "What I love about the IAVA is that they are so good at being advocates for these soldiers. They get them the best deals possible."  Ms. Diaz was not shy about approaching veterans directly, and spoke glowingly of IAVA's own SSG Todd Bowers:  "I met Staff Sgt. Todd Bowers. He just got called back for his fourth tour.

CNN's "No Bias, No Bull": "Suicide Stand-down" at Fort Campbell

IAVA Executive Director and Founder Paul Rieckhoff joined this panel discussion on CNN's No Bias, No Bull about Fort Campbell's decision to suspend duties for three-days while its soldiers and commanders undergo a suicide prevention program to help them recognize the signs of combat stress and halt an alarming suicide trend at the base.
