On July 17th, IAVA Executive Director and Founder Paul Rieckhoff spoke to MSNBC for this interview about a criminal investigation and allegations of misplaced bodies and shoddy care in Sect. 60 at Arlington National Cemetery where more than 600 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans are buried.

Variety Magazine recently caught up with Cameron Diaz, who hosted a joint CAA IAVA fundraiser in LA to raise awareness of veterans issues in Hollywood.  "It connected our entertainment industry with IAVA" Diaz said.  "What I love about the IAVA is that they are so good at being advocates for these soldiers. They get them the best deals possible."  Ms. Diaz was not shy about approaching veterans directly, and spoke glowingly of IAVA's own SSG Todd Bowers:  "I met Staff Sgt. Todd Bowers. He just got called back for his fourth tour.
