Statement from IAVA on Announced Retirement of House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller

WASHINGTON (March 10, 2016) – In response to the announcement that House Veterans Affairs Committee Chairman Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) is retiring at the end of 2016, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) issued the following statement:

On behalf of IAVA and our members, we would like to take this opportunity to thank Chairman Jeff Miller (R-Fla.) for his years of service as Chairman of the House Veterans Affairs Committee and to our country in Congress. Chairman Miller embodies the term, “public servant,” and his leadership and tireless work on behalf of our nation’s 23 million veterans will be missed.
