Director of Military and Veterans Program, Crisis Text Line
Elizabeth S. Borukhovich is the Director of the Military and Veterans Program at the Crisis Text Line, as well as a supervisor. She is responsible for outreach and communications with military/veteran organization partners, keeping the organization abreast of the latest military related issues, and guiding crisis counselors through challenging conversations.
Elizabeth spent six years on active duty in the U.S. Air Force in a variety of positions, working within the Aerospace Ground Equipment field as a maintainer, supervisor, and trainer. She was responsible for enforcement of standards and as unit lead for several maintenance related-programs. She deployed to Saudi Arabia in support of Operation Southern Watch followed by Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003. While in uniform, she was assigned to Shaw Air Force Base in South Carolina and Kunsan Air Base in the Republic of Korea.
After her uniformed service, Elizabeth used her GI Bill benefits to further her education with a future goal of helping veterans. She holds a M.S. in Criminal Justice and a M.S. in Applied Psychology from San Angelo University, a B.A. in Business Management with a concentration in Technology Management from Saint Leo University, and an A.A. in Ground Equipment Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
Elizabeth is currently a military spouse and continues to serve as a squadron key spouse mentor. Her spouse is serving on active duty where they are stationed in Virginia with their daughter.
