IAVA Joins Other Leading VSO's on VA Funding
January 8

On January 17th, 2008, the President approved an additional $3.7 billion in funding for the Veterans Administration.

IAVA Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff issued the following statement.

"IAVA is grateful to President Bush for formally requesting the additional $3.7 billion in VA appropriations that Congress approved," said Executive Director Paul Rieckhoff. "In the past year, we've seen the largest increase in VA funding in 77 years. This comes at a time when a growing number of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans face serious health problems such as Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury. Thanks to this Congress and the President, all our nation's veterans can finally look forwad to much-needed improvements in their health care and benefits."
