Transitioning Home Doesn't Come with Instructions.

IAVA & Robin Hood NYC Are Here to Help.

Rapid Response Referral Program (RRRP) is IAVA's new case management and referral services program. Launched in December 2012 in partnership with the Robin Hood Foundation this new program is connecting our member veterans and their families with veteran specific resources across New York City.

We know there are a lot of resources out there and that the system is confusing, making it hard for veterans to access the benefits and services they need or have earned. Our RRRP case managers are here to help to connect veterans with the resources that can help them achieve their goals.

Through this innovative pilot program supported by the Robin Hood Foundation, IAVA is connecting NYC veterans with qualified case managers and with best-in-class resources in the areas of employment, education, health and mental health, public benefits, housing, and legal assistance. Veterans seeking assistance also receive all the benefits of an IAVA membership, including access to Community of Veterans (CoV), IAVA’s online peer-to-peer mental health support network exclusively for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Although the RRRP program is in its pilot phase focused exclusively to New York City, IAVA expects to expand RRRP services to new locations in 2013 - beginning with California and the rest of New York State.

Some of the types of referrals provided through RRRP:

  • Disability Claims
  • Education Benefits
  • For-Profit School counseling
  • Mental Health
  • Financial Assistance
  • Employment Services
  • Housing Services
  • Public Benefits

Our RRRP case management team includes veterans and veteran family members who have first-hand experience working with veterans in crisis, such as at Walter Reed Hospital – it’s a team that understands where vets are coming from, and how to help.
