IAVA and the Fullbridge Program Team Up for Vets Education in Massachusetts

IAVA and the Fullbridge Program are pleased to announce an exclusive version of our veteran-focused business bootcamp for our members in Massachusetts this summer. Five IAVA Member Veterans will have the opportunity to attend Fullbridge's Business Immersion program -- a rigorous, four-week business and entrepreneurship course -- in Boston. Tuition is free of charge for participating veterans, due to a generous grant from John Hancock.

The program will take place at Boston University's Student Village II from June 3 - 28, 2013.

Please Note: Applicants must be able to attend the entire duration of the program. This cohort is open to IAVA member veterans in Massachusetts only. Room, board and living expenses are the responsibility of the participant. If you need housing, a paid option will be available through Fullbridge. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis -- IAVA member veterans are encouraged to apply ASAP.

To apply for this program, please head over to the application page.

To learn more about the Fullbridge Program for IAVA, be sure to check out their website.

The Program Structure:

Each day is divided into two four-hour units, focused on specific areas of study. Units vary, and may include short readings, videos and individual or team exercises, often requiring research. Each day, assigned tasks must be accomplished within tight deadlines. The program is rigorous, but strategically placed humorous content keeps things lively. At 6 p.m., the day is over—no homework, no extensions, no exceptions.  Participants are required to stay onsite during the program to take advantage of opportunities to interact with Fullbridge instructors and guest presenters, as well as with each other.

About the Fullbridge Program:

Offering an accelerated high-end boot camp, Fullbridge enables students at top colleges and graduate schools to make a successful transition from high academic achievement to success in the global workplace in a range of careers. The Fullbridge Program provides the 10 key skills and eight habits top employers worldwide value – whether in business, non-profit or entrepreneurial environments – making Fullbridge the must-have experience and credential to top off a top-tier liberal arts, sciences, or law education for students worldwide. The Fullbridge Program provides career assessments and a personalized coaching model to help participants understand strengths, development areas and develop a clear sense of career direction, translate majors into actionable career options, and develop a plan for moving forward into internships and professional jobs.
