IAVA's 2010 West Coast, Texas Tour

In March, IAVA kicked off the first leg of our spring membership tour bringing together Iraq and Afghanistan veterans on the West Coast in San Francisco, Los Angeles and San Diego and in Austin, Texas.
SAN FRANCISCO:
On March 3rd, over 60 new veterans and their families gathered at Tres Agaves in San Francisco to reconnect, get critical G.I. Bill questions answered by staff veterans, and learn more about IAVA's veteran support campaign anchored by Community of Veterans, the first exclusive online social network for Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.
LOS ANGELES:
On March 10th, more than 200 Iraq and Afghanistan veterans gathered at Geisha House in West Hollywood to reconnect after a panel discussion about how Community of Veterans is helping new veterans transition home.

SAN DIEGO:
On March 12th, IAVA stopped at Red Light in San Diego bringing together more than 90 local veterans, active-duty service members and family from the nearby Camp Pendleton and Twentynine Palms communities.
AUSTIN:
On March 17th, IAVA Member Veterans gathered in Austin after the SXSW Festival to reconnect and get involved in IAVA's mission to support new veterans and their families in central Texas.
