IAVA Hits the World Series of Poker
November 9 2009

On November 7th, IAVA Member Veterans took Las Vegas by storm to participate in the World Series of Poker live at the historic Penn & Teller Theatre.
IAVA partnered with Harrah’s and ESPN for the World Series of Poker at the Rio Casino, where IAVA Member Veterans managed a booth and gave out IAVA t-shirts, IAVA playing cards and answered questions from veterans in attendance about the organization.

During the finals on November 9th, eight IAVA Member Veterans sat on the stage to watch the final hand. ESPN caught the action on film and made some call outs to IAVA during the airing.
Throughout the weekend, WSOP players donated a portion of their winnings to support IAVA’s mission to help Iraq and Afghanistan veterans and their families.
