Vets: Volunteer with Team Rubicon to help in aftermath of Sandy
Posted by IAVA Staff on October 31 2012

Team Rubicon has activated teams to do Hurricane Sandy clean-up in the New York City area, and they need your help. Today through Sunday (and maybe beyond), Team Rubicon will be deploying teams of new vets throughout the tri-state area to support clean-up and rescue missions.

Typical duties will include: debris removal, assisting people that have had their houses damaged, assisting NYC manage shelters for displaced residents, working in the OEM command center, and mucking out basements.

If you can volunteer for two days or more before Sunday, send an email to sandyrecruit2012@gmail.com.

In your email, be sure to include the following details: name, age, military service and specialty information, address, dates available to volunteer, IAVA member status and special skills.

Learn more about Team Rubicon here.
