Advertising Week Job Fair:
As one of the advertising and media industry’s most-anticipated events of the year, Advertising Week is hosting a job fair exclusively for veterans. IAVA members will have the opportunity to get their resumes in front of top tier companies across the advertising, production and media space. Worried you’re not the next Don Draper? There are a wealth of different opportunities and areas where your skills, experience and expertise will be applicable -- including sales, account management, finance, film and media production, digital and much more! By signing up for the job fair, IAVA vets will also get to attend a panel featuring military veterans who will share their experiences in the advertising industry, including IAVA Board Chairman, Vietnam vet and former advertising executive Ed Vick. You will also participate in a pre-event call where you’ll be able to ask questions about the event and get tips on your resume, interview pointers, and much more. McKinsey & Company -- Veteran Transition Workshops:
As one of the world’s most experienced and lauded management consulting firms, McKinsey & Company is teaming up with IAVA to connect new veterans with a series of workshops designed to help them navigate their transition out of the military. McKinsey’s Veteran Transition Workshops will help veterans understand their career options and position themselves to achieve their career and educational goals. Working one-on-one with experts across business, education and professional development fields, veterans will get that extra edge as they take the next step in their careers.
The workshops will focus on interview skills training, career planning, industry orientation, higher education and more. Additionally, McKinsey will be hosting two sets of workshops, so be sure to head over to The Rucksack to get more information and sign up today!
