IAVA congratulates outgoing Chief Policy Officer Jonathan Schleifer

Everyone at IAVA bids a fond farewell to Chief Policy Officer Jonathan Schleifer. Jonathan gave IAVA and the veterans' community three dedicated, incredibly productive years and led our team in Washington in making truly lasting impact for the New Greatest Generation. Legislative victories during this time include New GI Bill reform, advanced appropriations, mandatory mental health, combating veteran unemployment and many more.

We're very proud that Jonathan will be joining the leadership team at Educators 4 Excellence, where he will help make America the education powerhouse it needs to by ensuring that the voices of classroom teachers are included in the decisions that affect teachers and students.

Jonathan, it's been an honor working with you over the past few years. But we know you're well on your way to making as much change in the education sector as you did for new vets.
