Struggling to kick-start your civilian professional career? Having trouble even getting that first interview? If so, there’s still time to sign up for a special “Military to Civilian Career Readiness Workshop,” sponsored by IAVA and British Telecom (BT).
This exclusive, one-day program gives IAVA Member Veterans a chance to get face-to-face with BT’s HR professionals providing advice on interview skills, resume writing and social media.
The second half of the day provides veterans the ability to “shadow” BT employees on the job, offering an in-depth look into their work and the types of opportunities in various disciplines available in a civilian professional career. Veterans with backgrounds in financial planning and budgeting, project planning and management, logistics, human resources, IT, systems administration, engineering and signal corps are all encouraged to sign up.
IAVA members who have already participated in a workshop said they got “great advice and info” and met with BT staff veterans who “shared their personal experiences.”

When: Wednesday, June 26; 9:00 a.m. - 4:00p.m.
