IAVA's announces new online “Career Pathfinder”

Today, Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America proudly unveiled “Career Pathfinder”, an innovative online employment tool for returning veterans. Funded by Cisco and powered by Futures Inc., this innovative tool was revealed during the 2013 TED Conference and will help the 2.5 million veterans of Iraq and Afghanistan transition from combat to career using technology. 


Department of Defense Extends Some Benefits to Same-Sex Partners

Last week, the Department of Defense announced that it will extend additional benefits to the same-sex partners of service members. Following the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, few benefits were available to same-sex partners of service members, but the DoD committed to reviewing all available benefits to see which could be extending to same-sex partners under existing law.
