To truly represent the diversity of this generation of veterans and the challenges they face when they return home, IAVA Member Veterans from diverse backgrounds serve as spokespeople in national and local media. IAVA empowers veterans from all branches of service and all walks of life to educate the public on the difficulties of transitioning home.
In 2010, IAVA contributed to over 2,000 national and local media reports about the wars and new veterans' issues, reaching thousands and garnering over $172 million in earned coverage.

Across social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, IAVA provides the most current news and analysis about the wars and veterans issues. IAVA grew our presence on Facebook and Twitter by multiples in 2010, reaching more than 200,000 Facebook fans and 16,000 Twitter followers.
